THE FOUNDER

    Attorney Kurt Malmquist graduated from the University of South Florida, with honors, continuing to the South Texas College of Law where he obtained a Doctor of Jurisprudence. During that time Kurt also served and received an honorable discharge from the United States Marine Corp's OCS (Officer Candidate School).

    In his 38 plus years as a licensed attorney, Kurt has practiced in numerous legal disciplines, including but not limited to personal injury, real estate transactions, business law, employment law, and trusts/estates. Kurt also maintains a license in Wisconsin as a Real Estate Broker and Salesperson.  

    Over Kurt's distinguished career, he has been deeply involved in Pro Bono work for the Pro Bono College of Texas as well as the Pro Bono Honor Society in Wisconsin, aiding those unable to afford legal services.

Jayme Herrera joined Malmquist Law in 2024 after a 23 year career as an executive assistant with a premiere provider of specialized polymer material.  Thanks to her extensive experience she brings a unique perspective to our office and has a proven ability to meet strict deadlines and to deal with pressure.  Jayme has a proven ability to meet challenges of all kinds head-on and is amply qualified to assist our clients with all of their needs and is the direct link between the client and Kurt Malmquist.

Jayme and her husband Ken, who is retired after 41 years in radio news, have lived in Thiensville, WI for the past 20 years but met when both were living in Houston, Texas.
